Chixis (houses) / Suites.

For the Totonaca people, the house or Chixi is an extremely sacred place; before it is built, a ritual is performed for the gods, requesting good luck and permission to take raw materials from nature. In honor of this tradition, all 20 exclusive suites at Isla Tajín Beach & River Resort are called Chixis (houses), and are built from materials that came from the local region.

Every suite, or Chixi (16 one-bed suites and 4 two-bed doubles) has a Totonaca name to pay homage to this great civilization whose descendents carry on the ancient traditions.

Visitors will choose the Chixi of her/his preference, one with a beautiful view of the sea, or another that looks out on unforgettable sunsets that burst into color over the mangroves, or the most quiet and private Chixi, nestled in the shelter of our private gardens.

In every Chixi at Isla Tajín Beach & River Resort, guests will be surrounded by the fine details of furniture and ornaments made by local craftsmen from the "Guacanaste" or "Elephant Ear Tree", abundant in this area. In addition to the artisanal work, guests will enjoy the necessary modern conveniences: LCD TV with DVD players, cable television channels, wireless internet access and MP3 docking stations.

Every room offers a variety of experiences, from intimate cozy areas perfect for relaxation and romance, to a private plunge pool, outdoor jacuzzi, balconies and terraces.

The Chixi include a minibar with a special selection of spirits and refreshing beverages such as bottled water, mineral water and soft drinks.

The Chixis Spupúkgo (Blue), Paxkí (To love), Tajín (God), Xanath (Flower), Kivi (Tree) Chiwix (Stone), Papá (Moon), Tsiyó (Mom), Tiyat (Earth) y Chuchut (Water) have private gardens and are located at the heart of the property surrounded by fabulous green areas and huge palm trees. The Chixi Kivi stands out for its interior terrace, the biggest garden and its attractive, private circular pool with a view to a side garden.
